SAGINAW, Jan. 13, 2017: AKT Peerless is proud to announce that Karl Primdahl, Senior Environmental Project Manager at AKT Peerless, has been appointed by the U.S. Coast Guard to the Executive Committee of the Saginaw River All Hazards Committee (SRAHC), a sub-committee of both the Southeast Michigan Area Maritime Security Committee (SMAMSC) and Southeast Michigan Area Committee (SEMAC), to serve for a period of three years. The appointment was made by S.B. Lemasters, Captain of the U.S. Coast Guard and the Federal Maritime Security Coordinator. According to Captain Lemasters, Primdahl was selected to serve because of his skills, experience and expertise in the maritime field, and because of the vital service his participation will contribute to the safety and security of the Saginaw Bay and River region.
Primdahl has a degree in Marine Science and has previously served as a Navigator in the U.S. Coast Guard and as a Science Officer on various U.S. EPA research vessels. He became a member of the AKT Peerless team in 2016, where he leads project teams addressing environmental cleanups and restorations.
Primdahl will begin his Saginaw River All Hazards Executive Committee appointment immediately.
