AKT Peerless is pleased to be serving as the environmental consultant for the Detroit Wayne County Port Authority (DWCPA) and coalition partner Detroit Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (DBRA) in administering a Brownfield Revolving Loan Fund Grant recently awarded by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) for use throughout Detroit and Wayne County.

The DWCPA and DBRA are requesting solicitations for projects to fund in 2017 under their Brownfield Cleanup Loan program. Interested parties with “shovel-ready” projects are encouraged to submit a Letter of Interest on or before December 15, 2016. Additional details about the Loan Program and the eligibility criteria can be found in the coalition announcement or by contacting Timothy McGahey of AKT Peerless at 248-302-2361 or at mcgaheyt@aktpeerless.com.

The EPA Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) is a USEPA Initiative funded under CERCLA 101(23) as described in 40 CFR 200.415. Loans under this program are subject to certain additional activities and project reporting/tracking procedures (e.g. community involvement planning, cleanup analyses, federal procurement practices, etc.) as required by the USEPA.
