AKT Peerless will once again participate in the National Brownfields Training Conference taking place in Pittsburgh, PA from December 5th through December 7th, 2017. Co-sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), the National Brownfields Training Conference is the largest event in the nation focused on cleaning up and repurposing formerly utilized commercial and industrial properties. Taking place every two years, the Conference attracts nearly 3,000 stakeholders in brownfields redevelopment and economic revitalization to share knowledge about sustainable reuse.

“We’re excited to again be a part of this important conference,” says Tim McGahey, Vice President of Due Diligence at AKT Peerless and team leader for the conference. “As a proven leader in redeveloping commercial and industrial properties with legacy contamination, AKT Peerless brings significant experience in the primary focus of this national conference and we’re pleased to again be a contributor.”

At the 2015 National Brownfields Training Conference, AKT Peerless was recognized along with its project partners as the recipient of multiple national awards for excellence in brownfield redevelopment. These included the Redevelopment & Renewal Environmental Impact Award, the 2014 Phoenix Award for USEPA Region 5, as well as the overall People’s Choice and Grand Prize Awards for all regions.
