AKT Peerless Principal & Co-Founder Brian Eggers has been reappointed by Michigan Governor Rick Snyder to serve another three-year term on the governing board of the Michigan Underground Storage Tank Authority (MUSTA), which is housed within the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. The seven-member MUSTA board oversees the creation of a separate fund that pays for corrective actions taken in response to refined petroleum leaking underground tanks and the revision of eligibility requirements that must be met by claimants.
Eggers has three decades of professional environmental and engineering consulting experience serving private and government sector clients. His areas of expertise include the redevelopment of environmentally challenged properties, economic development financing, brownfield program management, and underground storage tank systems. He also contributes significantly through multiple board and committee roles as a business advocate for policy and governance across this spectrum. Eggers has served as the MUSTA board chair since its formation.
