Brian Eggers, Co-Founder & Principal of AKT Peerless, has been appointed by Governor Rick Snyder to Michigan’s new Underground Storage Tank (UST) Authority Board.

Established by Public Act 416 of 2014 and housed within the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, the six-member board will oversee the creation of a separate fund to pay for corrective actions to be taken on leaking underground storage tanks and the revision of eligibility requirements that must be met by claimants.

Brian’s appointment to this new authority board is in recognition of his direct knowledge and decades of experience working as a mechanical contractor and a certified underground storage tank professional. He will also represent individuals from a statewide business association that includes owners or operators of refined petroleum underground storage tanks.

Brian will serve a three-year term expiring in May of 2018. To view the State of Michigan’s announcement, please visit this link.
