Brian Eggers, Principal & Co-Founder of AKT Peerless, has been appointed by Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey to serve as the business and manufacturing representative on the State of Michigan’s Water Use Advisory Council. Eggers has served previous terms on the Council, including serving as the Council’s Co-Chair from 2013 through 2018.

Michigan’s Water Use Advisory Council was first established in 2013 to provide insight and advice on the State’s water use program, which includes the Great Lakes Compact, water withdrawals, and water use conflict and resolution. Eggers has over 30 years of environmental and engineering consulting experience and is a recognized leader in a successful multi-stakeholder engagement involving both the private and public sectors. He also contributes significantly through multiple board and committee roles as a business advocate for policy and governance, including serving as the Chairman of the Michigan Underground Storage Tank Authority Board.
